Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 7/08

Good Morning,

What a rainstorm we had last night.  I had an inch and half of rain and several limbs down in the yard this morning.  I hope you are all well.  I continue to pray for and be heartbroken for those involved with the Texas flooding.  May God give them all strength and comfort.  Abe made it back from Seattle yesterday and after a nap and Grandma and Grandpa's he made it back to Columbia. Carol has a raging case of Poinson Oak from helping me in the yard.  I appreciate the help, but I hate the price she is paying.  She was able to get an Rx yesterday, hopefully it will give her some relief.   I have PT this morning, things are getting better.  We are prepping this week for camp and VBS, we have a busy several weeks at Ashland.
Have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 138:2 (New International Version)
I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Today's Thought

David has a way of keeping focus.  David's life if filled with ups and downs, but we observe the ups and downs never separate him from knowing the power and love of God.  It is important for us to keep focused as well.  God is with us always even in the most challenging times.   Just a thought for today!
