Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 7

Good Morning,

Friday has arrived.  It isn't Red Friday as we don't play this weekend, but I still have my red on.  Tom is preparing for Praise Night tomorrow evening, a huge event with kids from around the area.  Please keep Tom and all involved in your prayers.  We are off to Columbia today to celebrate Grands birthdays.  We will return tomorrow as we listen to the Mizzou game.  This is the second time I have written this as the network crashed earlier, I hope this posts.  I also hope you have a great weekend!

Blessings, Doug

We have pictures from the 50+ outing to the Cronkite Museum available in the office if you would like a copy.

Today's Scripture

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (New International Version)

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Today's Thought

The idea of living peacefully is wonderful.  I want to live a peaceful and quiet life in godliness and holiness. It doesn't seem like we are anywhere close to this, but it doesn't mean we should not strive for it.  Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done.  We pray for it and should do all in our power to make it happen.  Just a thought for today!
