Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 6

Good Morning,

I love going to the Parkway in the morning, it is a great way to get awake and ready for the day.  Great turnout last night for MidWeek@Ashland.  Carol has been going through boxes of stuff at the house.  There are so many memories and so much to discard. She wants to get through stuff before thanksgiving.  I believe she said there are 13 boxes, that is a lot of papers, cards, etc.  We are in Columbia Saturday to celebrate Ada's and Abe's birthdays.  Mizzo has a huge game and of course a visually untested freshman QB.  It would be awesome to get a win.  We shall see!  I hope you have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

We have pictures from the 50+ outing to the Cronkite Museum available in the office if you would like a copy.

Today's Scripture

Ephesians 1:9-10 (New International Version)
he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Today's Thought

The mystery of God.  There is much we know, but much we don't know.  We are assured that in God's time we will know, but until then we must be faithful to what we do know.  When all else fails remember to love God with all that we are.  We do that by doing what God instructs us to do.  Love each other, love our neighbor, always act in love.  Just a thought for today!
