Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 6/11

Good Morning,

It is a beautiful morning.  Carol and I got 3.5 miles in, and I have been to Mosaic, had an ekg and blood draw and am here before 8:00 am.   A good start to the day.  We had Board meeting last night and the remodel is a go, and we will be sealing the parking lot late summer or early fall.  Ashland is a busy place and a growing congregation.  Herb Wandfluh's service will be Monday morning at Ashland at 11:00.  We also are hosting a wedding for Lillie Kirby this weekend.  Oh, Carol and I are also making a trip to Columbia to celebrate BD's Sunday after church.  It is good to keep moving right?  Have a nice day and get out early the 90's arrive today!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 46:10 (New International Version)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Today's Thought

I love early morning or late night because it is generally quiet.  God is always with us, but it is easier for me to connect when there is a little less noise.  My devotional time is always when I first get to Ashland in the morning.  The phone isn't ringing and there isn't anyone at the office.  This intentional time with God connects me with God and allows me to echo the words of David.   Just a thought for today!
