Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 6/27

Good Morning,

Friday has arrived and with it the weekend.  This has been a week!  Construction is coming along as well as sealing the parking lot.  I had my knee surgery on Monday and it has been central to my week.  I made it back on Wednesday and Thursday for parts of the day.  I am here today, but we are out at noon.  Thank you for all the support I really appreciate it.  A big thanks to Carol for her care.  This has been a little more than I had anticipated.  Each day is better and I am committed to running again.  Don't forget this is New G Sunday.  I am not sure I will be here as I am still navigating it day by day. Have a great worship experience.  Tomorrow Carol and I will celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary.  Yes, she is a saint.

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Matthew 16:25 (New International Version)
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

Today's Thought

The upside down nature of the Gospel drives followers of Jesus.  Gain is loss and loss is gain.  First is last and last is first.  We find our place when we put Jesus first.  When we love as Jesus loves we win.  Don't worry about yourself, Jesus will take care of it all.  Just a thought for today!
