Pastor Doug's Thought for Today October 7

Good Morning,
It is another lovely morning in St Joseph. Carol and I got our miles in and enjoyed a warmer morning.  We attended a cooking class last night at Chocolat downtown and had a wonderful time.  We learned some new techniques and had great food.  I highly recommend trying it.  Today they come to measure for out new carpet upstairs.  They should have it installed by the end of the month.  Tonight is MidWeek@Ashland and we have made some modification, join us, dinner is at 5:00 pm.  I have to run, United Way Executive meeting today, lots to do. Have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

PS:  We are collecting candy for Trick or Treat @Ashland on October 31.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 63:1        New International Version
A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

Today's Thought

Have you been in the desert and thirsting?  I don't mean a literal desert, but a time in your life where you feel dried out.  I have been there, but soul felt so dry.  David reminds us that when we have that thirst we should seek God.  When we seek God we will find God.   Just a thought for today!
