Pastor Doug's Thought for Today May 27

Good Morning,
It is a beautiful morning in St. Joseph.  We hit the Parkway and ran a little over 3 miles.  The kneed is stronger and I am getting my breath back.  Today I have a funeral celebrating the life of Judy McFall. This is a short week since we were off on Monday.  It is hard to believe next weekend is Annual Conference.  The month of June will fly by.  Get out and enjoy a wonderful day!
Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Acts 20:24 (New International Version)

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Today's Thought

The goal is to finish the race.  When I am out running I always consider it a good run when I finish.  Paul understood our life of faith the same way.  A good day of faith is a day we finish.  The testifying to the good news of God's grace is in the way we live the day.  May we always reflect the love and grace of God.  May we someday hear the words, "Well done good and faithful servant."  Just a thought for today!
