Pastor Doug's Thought for Today May 5

Good Morning,
Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Tuesday has come and brought a little shower.  We can always use a little rain.  Today is MDO day, we will have lots of young families.  I want to remind you all that Sunday is Mother's Day and that we will celebrate our graduates from High School Sunday morning.  I am trying to spend a little time working on my room upstairs until I can finish it.  I am at the more challenging finish touches.  We didn't get out to the Parkway today because of the rain.  I hope you have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Philippians 4:6-7 (New International Version)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Today's Thought

I hope you read the Upper Room this morning.  The practice of thanksgiving is important.  We need to practice the act of thanksgiving.  When we give thanks we are changed, we become a more connected follower of Christ.  Being thankful is important for our walk of faith.  Just a thought for today!
