Pastor Doug's Thought for Today August 12

Good Morning,
It is an interesting morning in St. Joseph.  Carol and I hit the Parkway early and following our return came the rain.  My guess is really hot and muggy today.  Ingram is having a great time with us and I it is fun to have him around.  He is bright and witty.  A strange week with no MDO, but it is still very busy around the office.  The paperwork never stops and we are trying to get some mailing out today.   It is gong to be a weird day so be careful and enjoy!

Blessings, Doug

Marge Childress is celebrating her 90th BD Saturday in Fellowship Hall beginning at 2:00 pm.  Bring a card, stop by and wish her the a Happy Birthday!

Don't forget the produce table.  Bring some or leave some.

Today's Scripture

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version)

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Today's Thought

Paul wants us to understand that we have given ourselves to God and in doing so we recognize that we are no longer our own.  He tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.  How do we treat the temple?  An interesting thought to ponder.  Just a thought for today!
