Pastor Doug's Thought for Today August 11

Good Morning,
It is once again a hot day in St. Joseph.  I am working toward running a half-marathon the end of September so I am paying closer attention to training.  Three miles today and an ever increasing long run each week.  Ingram is with us and having a great time with Grandma each day.  They made Chief's camp yesterday along with some shopping.  Today he is looking forward to some alone time.  Ha.  He has four brothers.  MDO is on break so it is a little quieter around here.  We are in full scale fall mode and launch into fall programing the end of the month.  I am so impressed with all the early adopters that gave he new check-in a try Sunday.  This will be so important to the growth and health of Ashland.  It is gong to be hot so be careful and have a wonderful day!

Blessings, Doug

Marge Childress is celebrating her 90th BD Saturday in Fellowship Hall beginning at 2:00 pm.  Bring a card, stop by and wish her the a Happy Birthday!

Don't forget the produce table.  Bring some or leave some.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 119:14 (New International Version)

I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.

Today's Thought

David is insightful knowing God's statures are for our good.  These are not rules to prevent us from joy, but boundaries that protect us from harm.  We would do well to join in rejoicing to follow God's statures.  Just a thought for today!
