Pastor Doug's Thought for Today August 10

Good Morning,
We launch into a new week.  We returned the littlest grandsons Friday and brought home the middle grandson Saturday.  We celebrated our granddaughter's BD while in CoMo, so a busy weekend. I got in the Burb to get pizza last night and it said 109, really hot in the garage.  We were out early and I ran a couple of miles, but it was still hot.  Carol and Ingram are headed to Chiefs camp this morning, hope they have fun.  It is stacking up to be another hot day today.  Get done what you need to do outside early.  Have a wonderful day!

Blessings, Doug

Don't forget the produce table.  Bring some or leave some.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 46:1 (New International Version)

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Today's Thought

God is our refuge and strength.  I believe anyone that has walked in faith for awhile will find this to be true.  There are times we retreat to the arms of God for comfort and to recharge.  We find new strength and find our way back to life.  Thank you Lord for your unwavering strength and comfort.  Just a thought for today!
