Pastor Doug's Thought for Today June 30

Good Morning,
The heat continues.  Carol tweaked her knee and decided to rest it this morning.  I got 3 miles in running and it was really hot.  I am glad for some breeze.  We had a wonderful night at VBS.  Great kids and great volunteers make for a great experience.  Today is the last day of June which marks the halfway point of 2026.  We have had some awesome things happen thus far but the best part of 2026 is yet to come.  No VBS tonight and then back tomorrow to wrap it up.  Be careful out there today, hydrate and be heat aware.  Have a great day!
Blessings, Doug

PS.   Dora Howard will celebrate her 97th birthday on July 4!  It would be great to have everyone shower her with cards.

Today's Scripture

Zechariah 14:9 (New International Version)

The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.

Today's Thought

We serve one King and one master, Jesus Christ.  I want us to consider what it means to serve our king and master.  Jesus wants us to be attentive to Kingdom principles, not earthly principles.  Power in the Kingdom is expressed by love and grace.  How can you serve your King today?  Just a thought for today!
