Pastor Doug's Thought for Today June 18

Good Morning,
Carol and I got caught in a little rain this morning.  Not a big deal!  I have one more blood draw this morning, all part of my annual checkup. The office is closed tomorrow in recognition of Juneteenth!  I hope you find a way to honor the day.  Tom and the crew will be back before the weekend.  The pictures indicate a wonderful experience for them all.  I don't think the rain will last so get out and enjoy the day!
Blessings, Doug

PS.   Dora Howard will celebrate her 97th birthday on July 4!  It would be great to have everyone shower her with cards.

Today's Scripture

Ephesians 6:4 (New International Version)

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Today's Thought

Father's Day is Sunday.  This is a good verse for all fathers.  Do not exasperate your children.  Good advice, but I like the next part.  Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.  We should strive to be parents that make a positive influence in the lives of our children.  Just a thought for today!
