Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 8/04

Good Morning,

We had a great trip with the family.  It was a great Florida adventure and so many memories were made.  I made a flying trip to the Lake when I returned to spend time with our staff for a Dream Lab Retreat.  Abe flew home with us and Carol took him to Chiefs camp on Saturday.  What great weather!  Carol and got out and walked 2.25 miles this morning in a lovely cool morning.  The knee continues to improve, and I think I am on track to run again.  Enjoy the cool weather while we have it, the heat is coming back.  Have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Jeremiah 33:2-3 (New International Version)
“This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Today's Thought

Have you ever had times in life where answers seem to escape you?  Me too.  Jeremiah reminds us to call out to God for answers.  My advice here is to be persistant. Sometimes we want God to be like GOOGLE, input the question and get the answer instantly.  I hope we can have the faith and trust to keep our questions before God as we wait for the answer.  God will answer, but there may be things we need to learn as we wait.  Just a thought for today!
