Pastor Doug's Thought for Today December 10

Good Morning,

The wind is crazy this morning.  The weather channel said 27 miles per hour and I read of power outages in Omaha because of the wind.  Clearly the weather has turned again.  We are preparing for Pete's girls this weekend.  We will have them Friday night as their parents are running a marathon in Parkville on Saturday.  Carol is much better.  She should not ride in a car for extended periods because of a blood clot in her leg, but by Christmas she should be good to travel.  We continue in full on Christmas Mode at Ashland.  This is a great time of year. Have a wonderful day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 85[a].    For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.

1 You, Lord, showed favor to your land;
    you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
2 You forgave the iniquity of your people
    and covered all their sins.[b]

Today's Thought

I am following the Youth Group Advent Calendar.  Today's passage from Psalm 85 reminds us of Gods restorative love.  The challenge the Advent Calendar has today is to find something that needs fixed and fix it.  Remember that God will restore us.  Just a thought for today!
