Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 20

Good Morning,

What a morning, you could get lost out there.  We have a heavy fog cover in St. Joseph today.  I worked up my leaves last weekend and it looks like I did nothing.  I suppose a couple more rounds of cleanup are in store.  Today is catchup day getting ready for the weekend.  The weekend before Thanksgiving is always busy prepping for two holidays.  I hope the day improve and you can get out and have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Ashland is transitioning some ministry and because of that we will no longer employ Sue Abarr as Chaplain.  Sue has served well, but following Covid and the restrictions around home visits her job has changed and we will transition her duties to others.  I will assume all the visitation going forward and please continue to send your prayer requests to the office.  We thank Sue for her service to Ashland.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 95:1-2 (New International Version)

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Today's Thought

We are talking about discipleship at Ashland.  A key element of discipleship is thanksgiving.  We respond and follow out of our gratitude to God.  Let us sing for joy and shout aloud with music and song as we give thanks to God.  Just a thought for today!
