Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 18

Good Morning,

We had a very busy Monday.  Thanks to everyone that made the celebration of Kathy Gabler's life special.  The week is packed with Thanksgiving preparation and of course we will decorate for Christmas next week.   I am off to MWSU for a Chamber event and then on with the day. I hope you have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Ashland is transitioning some ministry and because of that we will no longer employ Sue Abarr as Chaplain.  Sue has served well, but following Covid and the restrictions around home visits her job has changed and we will transition her duties to others.  I will assume all the visitation going forward and please continue to send your pray requests to the office.  We thank Sue for her service to Ashland.

Today's Scripture

John 17:17 (New International Version)

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

Today's Thought

This season of Thanksgiving and Being All In in 2026 revolves around seeking and following God's truth.  I pray that you are allow the word to sanctify you each and every day.   Just a thought for today!

I just want to acknowledge Sue’s service as chaplain. She has been in contact with us regularly & we have appreciated her uplifting spirit. She is a joy.

Sue has been a blessing to us with her regular phone visits with us. We so appreciate her doing that.

Sue has been in contact with us since 2018. She made regular visits to Community Living Center during my stay there. She also contacted us on a regular basis. Her friendly voice was always good to hear. She will be missed. Thank you, Sue.
