Pastor Doug's Thought for Today December 30

Good Morning,

The end of 2025 is almost here.  It is a time to reflect on the last year and look forward to the new year.  Ashland is blessed and our goal is to be a blessing to others.  We are saddened by the passing of Sharon Mackey, her service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 10th at Ashland.  We are also saddened by the passing of Wayne Vogel.  Wayne's service will be Friday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home at 1:00 pm.  Carol and I will be off to Columbia for Christmas with our family over New Years.  We have lots of little ones so it will be really fun.  I hope you have a great day an enjoy some warmer temperatures today!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

John 16:33 (New International Version)

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Today's Thought

It is important to hear these words today.  The peace comes even in the midst of trouble.  We have plenty of trouble to go around don't we?  We can find solace in the peace of God doesn't not come in the circumstance of this world but in the love and grace of Jesus Christ.  Just a thought for today!
