Pastor Doug's Thought for Today December 11

Good Morning,

A crisp morning, but the wind has died down.  Carol and I went to Krug Park last night and then drove around looking at Christmas lights.  It was a fun adventure.  The kids wrapped up practice for the Christmas Program with dress rehearsal last night.  The program is this Sunday at 10:00, I am requesting all Sunday Small Groups to not meet, but come to the sanctuary and support our youth program.  We are making final prep for the girls to be with us this weekend.  I say we, but Carol is making the final preparations. Today we say our earthly goodbyes to Karl Sundell, please keep the family in your prayers.  This is a great time of year, but a difficult time for many, pray for them.  My friends, have a wonderful day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Isaiah 7:14 (New International Version)

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Today's Thought

Christmas is coming.  The Prophet Isaiah foretold of Christmas coming long before the birth of Christ.  It is always good to keep our eyes open and be aware.  Christmas coming is Christ coming.  Be aware and be prepared for a celebration!  Just a thought for today!
