Pastor Doug's Thought for Today December 2

Good Morning,

The snow came and went but it is still cold.  Carol is having a pain in her leg so we are trying to figure out the cause.  She has an ultrasound this morning that should give us some answers.  Your prayers are appreciated.  MDO is in session today so we will have kids everywhere which is always fun. We have had several deaths at Ashland this past week.  Please keep the families in your prayers.  Don't forget we will light Ashland tomorrow at 5:45.  Dinner catered by 7th Street will be at 5:00.  Be careful today it is slick and it is cold.

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 1:1-2 (New International Version)

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

Today's Thought

How does God speak to us?  I get that question often.  Hebrews tells us that God spoke through prophets and in various ways.  Jesus changed the conversation, literally.  Jesus spoke to us and we have His words.  Jesus also left us with His Holy Spirit to continue the conversation.  How does God speak to us?  Scripture, prayer, and we continue to have the inocuis various ways.  When God wants us to know something God will make a way.   Just a thought for today!
