Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 8/12

Good Morning,

School is about to start for a new term.  The parking lot at Field Elementary is filled with staff preparing for the year.  Carol and I got in our 3 miles this morning, it was cooler but very humid.  We worked in the kitchen last night grouting some new tile pieces along the countertops.  I think one more pass will finish the project.  Construction continues at Ashland.  We have some A/C drain lines clogged so more folks coming to add to the mix.  This building requires constant attention, I am thankful we can take care of it.  I hope you have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version)
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Today's Thought

Aging is a reminder that these bodies have an expiration date.  They are given to us by God and how we care for them matters.  Scripture tells us we honor God with our bodies, that they are temples.  I have been aware that caring for the temple matters.  It is important to care for our spiritual life, but it also is important to care for our body, the temple in which our spirit dwells.  Just a thought for today!
