Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 7/09

Good Morning,

It is a beautiful day in St. Joseph.  Please keep Carol in your prayers, the poison oak is relentless in its attack.  I am praying today is a turning point. I had a great PT session yesterday.  I remind myself to keep my eye on the goal to run again.  VBS starts Sunday and we are excited to have our grandson Ingram joining us for the week.  It is special to have the boys one at a time.  In a family of 5 boys, they rarely get that kind of special attention. The construction continues.  Today the wall between 113 and 114 is coming down creating a large room on the upper level matching the Garden Room space below.  It is a great time to be a part of Ashland, spread the word.  Enjoy the summer and have a great day!

Today's Thought

God is able to do more than we ask or imagine.  How are you limiting God?  I can get caught in thinking something is too small to bother God or on the other side thinking it is too much to ask.  That is not my call.  God wants to be in the conversation.  What if we stopped with the assumptions about value and simply came to God with what is going in our life?  May the power of God be released in our lives.  Just a thought for today!
