Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 6/26

Good Morning,

It is a busy day at Ashland.  They are sealing a part of the parking lot today and we have MDO so people and equipment everywhere.  There will be a break until Monday on the bathroom construction.  Liz is doing a wonderful job keeping things looking nice through the process.  I am running a bit slower this morning.  Recovery isn't an overnight thing, and I am trying to keep it slow.  I am thankful for a great wife and caregiver.  Thanks for your prayers and support.  Sunday will be New G Sunday at Ashland.  There will be no 8:00 am service.  There will be no youth small groups on Sunday. I believe the only small group gatherings will be the Garden and Seekers.  Check with your leader to be sure.

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Leviticus 19:18 (New International Version)
“‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Today's Thought

The Lord never wants us to seek revenge or bear a grudge.   I repeat, the Lord never wants us to seek revenge or bear a grudge.  We take it upon ourselves and feel justified that we deserve revenge.  Not so!  Don't get caught up in our secular desires.  Follow the Lord and trust in Him. Just a thought for today!
