Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 6/02

Good Morning,

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend, and I hope you connected with Ashland.  We have entered June, and summer is in full swing.  Carol finished the cabinet project and everything is back together.  She did a great job!  This coming weekend is Annual Conference which is a great time to reconnect with folks from around the state.  We have wonderful things going on in Missouri and Ashland has certainly been a bright spot for our Conference.  The weather is great; Carol and I got over 3 miles in this morning.  I am on countdown to knee surgery, June 23rd.  Have a nice day!

Blessings, Doug

The 50+ gathering is this Friday, June 6th at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 9:28 (New International Version)
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Today's Thought

The sacrificial love of Jesus is an example for us.  We are not warriors, but we are servants.  Jesus came to serve and led us by example.  We are to carry on the mission of Jesus until He returns.  We do that by lovingly and gracefully serving those around the globe.  We are to make the world a better place by serving.     Just a thought for today!
