Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 5/15

Good Morning,

I donated some stuff yesterday and was surprised they would not take my dishwasher.  It works we simply upgraded.  If you know someone or someplace that could use it let me know.  The week has gone quickly and now the weekend is close.  I have lots going on, a wedding, worship, and then a quick trip to Como to see Ada dance or not dance depending on the mood.  Oh, we also have some graduation stuff to attend this weekend.  State Track meet is coming as well; I do miss being in the middle of all that.  Another beautiful day so enjoy!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Ecclesiastes 11:5 (New International Version)
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

Today's Thought

The writer of Ecclesiastes is a pragmatist.  Sometimes the book is a bit of a downer, but the realism is important to wrestle with.  We have things we don't and won't ever know.  We have made some strides in the things the writer talks about today, but truth is only God knows.  Trust in God is central to life.  If we don't trust God everything in life is simply random and terrifying.  Just a thought for today!
