Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 5/06

Good Morning,

It is another beautiful morning!  I walked a couple of miles, a great way to start the day.  Carol is already on her way home from Columbia.  Tuesday is her day to work at the Discovery Center and she would not want to miss that.  I worked in the garden last night planting flower and pumpkins. The garden is talking shape.  We have MDO today so lots of parents and kids.  The kids have their big music program on Friday; it will be livestreamed if you want to tune in and see our wonderful program in action.  The weather is perfect so enjoy this beautiful day!

Blessings, Doug

PS:  Flowers arrive this Thursday, sale starts at 3:00 pm             We have lots of flowers still!

Today's Scripture

James 5:16 (New International Version)
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Today's Thought

Is there anyone you pray for?  I start my morning prayers praying for my family by name.  I lift them to God and ask God to meet their needs for the day.  I also pray for our prayer list and those that have ask me to pray for them.  I believe we should all be praying for others.  James also reminds us to confess our sins to each other.  Who are you accountable to?  James wants us to do these things everyday as a kind of wellness check.  James is such a powerful and practical follower of our Lord.  We can learn much form him.  Just a thought for today!
