Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/21

Good Morning, What a wonderful Easter we had at Ashland. My heartfelt thanks to the staff for seeing to every detail. The crowds were something to behold, it was like the days before the pandemic. I am at the office catching up on odds and ends today. The staff has the day off and they deserve it. The rain has left everything looking so crisp and fresh it is beautiful. We had Mark's family in for Easter and we celebrated Emma's first birthday. She is growing up to be a fun little human. A sad note this morning we lost the Pope in the early hours of today. He will be missed and made such a powerful impact on the world. I am hopeful given he appointed over half the Cardinals they will elect a Pope that is reflect of Pope Francis and his priorities. I would add to please keep the victims of the storms in the south in our prayers. Tornado damage is awful. My friends I hope you have a great Monday! Blessings, Doug PS: Order your flowers today!! Order your flowers today!! Order your flowers today!! We have lots of flowers still! |
Today's Scripture
John 10:28-30 (New International Version)
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Today's Thought
Easter informs us. Those who give their lives to Jesus will have eternal life. We can feel safe and secure in the Father's hands. We have spent weeks talking about how we can find ourselves safe and secure. The key is to allow Christ to live in us each and every day. Our goal isn't eternal life, but to be Christ to the world around us by modeling the life of Jesus. Who do people say you are? Just a thought for today! |
