Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/18

Good Morning,

We have arrived at Friday of Holy Week.  Last night we gathered around the table of Christ and shared God's promise.  Today we hold fast to that promise.  It is sometimes hard to see past the circumstance before us.  We feel there is no path but the one we see in front of us.  I would imagine those at the cross saw only the situation at the moment.  We know Jesus will forever alter that situation and has the power to meet us in our circumstance as well. I hope the experience of today deepens our faith and reality of our hope. May the grace of God be with you!

Blessings, Doug

PS:  Order your flowers today!! Order your flowers today!! Order your flowers today!!                                                            We have lots of flowers still!

Today's Scripture

Romans 13:10          New International Version
Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Today's Thought

Love does no harm to a neighbor.  I want us to sit with that a few minutes today.  We live in turbulent times.  The culture pushes us to think about ourselves first.  I hear people express that something doesn't affect them so they want to ignore the situation.  Culture points us to a barter scenario where the question is about what do I get from it. This not a Christian approach to life.  We are to be servants and our treasure comes from pleasing God.  The future rests in what happened today in history and that alone.     Just a thought for today!
