| Good Morning, Today is Maundy Thursday and we invite you to join us at the table at Ashland. I will be serving from 6:00 to 8:00 this evening. We met the day with a refreshing shower the smell of spring is in the air. Carol was able to get some planting in the garden and the rain could not have been better. The next couple of days will take us from celebration to desperation and then to glory. I hope you time in Lent has prepared you for what is to come. May the grace of God be with you! | The message of the cross has been our conversation these last 40 days. What is the big deal of the resurrection? The cross was a symbol of death and humiliation. It was an apparent disgrace for Jesus to die this kind of death. It was literally from these ashes that glory was shown. The message of the cross was no longer death, but victory. It is our victory if we choose to accept it. Just a thought for today! |
