Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/11

Good Morning,

Friday has arrived and the weekend is about to begin.  Carol is continuing her wallpaper/paint project with a friend today and this afternoon we will take a little road trip.  Saturday, I plan to install a new dishwasher and do some yard work.  There will be an Easter Cantata at Ashland Saturday evening; I hope you can come.  Sunday is Palm Sunday with all its splendor.  The palm branches are ready to wave.  Have a marvelous weekend and please connect with Ashland.

Blessings, Doug

PS:  The Women of Faith will have lunch together at LePeep this Saturday at 11:30.

Today's Scripture

1 Peter 2:24 (New International Version) “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Today's Thought

By his wounds you have been healed!  What a powerful message of hope.  We understand the implications of a terminal disease, yet somehow, we don't think of sin as a terminal disease. We would go to any length to find a cure and adhere to the protocol for healing a terminal disease such as cancer.  We should be as attentive to sin.  The cure isn't painful but encouraging as well as life changing.  Just a thought for today!
