Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/9

Good Morning,

I missed connecting with you yesterday. It was a busy day.  It started with opening for the election at 5:00 am, then off to Word of Life for 3D, then to Lees Summit for Conference meeting, and back for Ad Council last night.  The day was filled with some good stuff, but the election was disappointing.  The outcome of this will not be what people anticipated, rather than 2 new schools we will go to 2 old schools.  Today is catchup day for me as we prepare for new week and Holy Week.  I am always excited for the movement of the Holy Spirit in this lead up to Easter.  It will be warm today so enjoy!

Blessings, Doug

PS:  I welcome feedback on the new format.  I would love to hear from you.

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 1:3 (New International Version) The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Today's Thought

Jesus, the Son is an exact representation of God.  Hebrews tell us that Jesus provided purification for our sins.  We have now been given an opportunity to be united with God, however it is important to note that accepting and following Jesus is how this happens.  This wasn't a blanket everyone received but on opportunity everyone was given.  Will you follow Jesus as Lord, that is the answer God is looking for.    Just a thought for today!
