Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/7

Good Morning,

We enter a new era in my Thought for Today.   Today we are making the transition to SubSplash from iContact.  The format will change a bit, but the content will remain the same.  We had a great Eggstravaganza last night.  The house was packed and it was clear the families had a wonderful experience.  This is a prep week for next week which is Holy Week.  This Sunday is Palm Sunday, Easter is coming.  The weather should improve this week.  I am ready for some warmer weather.   I did now this weekend and ran my aerator over the yard as well.  The hedge will need attention by this weekend.  Have a great week!
Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Galatians 2:20 (New International Version)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Today's Thought

We talk about new birth as Christians.  This is tied to Jesus' death and resurrection.  We were dead also, dead in our sin.  Sin created a separation from God that we couldn't resolve.  God made resolution for us through Jesus.  Out sin died when Jesus died, and our life was granted when Jesus rose, and we put our faith in him. We have new life and Christ lives in us when we recognize and follow Jesus as our savior.  The power of the resurrection.  Just a thought for today!
