Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 4/2

God Morning,
I will be changing the format for delivery next week. The email will not look the same, but click on the link, and you will receive the new message.
What a storm we had. I don't have a rain gage out yet, but we received a lot of rain. I was relieved to not have many limbs in the yard. Tonight, we conclude the semester of MidWeek@Ashland; we will resume in August. There are groups that have their own schedule so check with your group, but meals and younger kids will conclude tonight. I hope you have a wonderful day and maybe I will see you tonight!
Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Matthew 20: 17-19
Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”

Today's Thought

Imagine you are going to Jerusalem with Jesus, and he tells you this. Would we listen and trust Jesus in what was to come? Would we vow to fight for Jesus to the end? This had to be confusing and a bit hard to believe. The proof is in the resurrection. It is for us as well, God has different plans. The question of the day is, will we trust in the Lord? Just a thought for today!
