Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 3/26

Good Morning!
I love the sun on the drive in to church. The day always seems better with sun. Today we have Son Shine Story time and then this evening we have MidWeek@Ashland. I hope to see many of you at one or the other. Carol and I will be in Columbia tomorrow and Friday. I have meetings at the Conference office and then my Ortho consult on Friday afternoon. I hope to get some plan for my knee going forward. Saturday morning will be Nancy Lumb's funeral at Meierhoffer Funeral Home. Please keep Ron and the family in your prayers. Have a great Wednesday.
Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Philippians 1:29 (New International Version)
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

Today's Thought

Confession is good for the soul. God wants to forgive us, but we must ask; in fact, we must Paul points out that following Christ may have some challenges. We don't like to talk about suffering, but Paul tells us it should not surprise us. Christians in the United States don't face the challenges of many worldwide. There are many places where true persecution happens. Please keep those followers in your prayers. Just a thought for today!
