Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 2/25

Good Morning,
The warmth continues and today should be beautiful. I made a trip to KC last night to see my dad. I was surprised at how well he looked. He has gout and it was flared up and some cellulitis, but they believe antibiotics will resolve the issues. Thank you for your prayers. Carol took a spill yesterday and is in the orthopedic urgent care this morning getting and x-ray. My daughter starts a new job today with the University and she has been accepted into the doctoral program. A new chapter in the life of her family. We are excited to actually have MidWeek@Ashland tomorrow, I hope you can join us. Have a great day!
Blessings, Doug

Funeral Services for Norm Akers will be next Saturday, March 1 at Ashland

Today's Scripture

Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Today's Thought

These words should sound familiar. I repeat them almost every week. This is the litmus test of our desire to love God. Will we do what Jesus instructs? I think we can stand to improve on the last part. Make an effort today to love your neighbor. Just a thought for today!
