Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 2/24

Good Morning,
The weather has taken a very positive turn. I think we are going to get a full week of programming in at Ashland. Maggie seems like each day could be her last, but she is still with us and we strive to make her life the best it can be. My parents are recovering. I plan to head south late this afternoon to check on them. I walked a couple of miles yesterday, still hoping to rehab my knee and avoid another surgery, time will tell. I hope you enjoy this beautiful day.
Blessings, Doug

Funeral Services for Norm Akers will be next Saturday, March 1 at Ashland

Today's Scripture

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Today's Thought

I love the promise of this verse. God never forgets us. I do think it is important to point out God doesn't say that when we pray and it will be an immediate turn around. This promise comes 70 years before the action they desire. God affirms in the interim God will be there and they should live and thrive. I believe that message if for us to live and thrive knowing the circumstance isn't as big as God. Just a thought for today!
