Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 2/21

Good Morning,
Friday has arrived and the weather is taking a positive turn. I am glad for many reasons. Maggie really doesn't like to go out in this snow and cold. We have gotten her to go out, but she isn't happy about it. Mark and family are coming to town tomorrow and we are grilling pork steaks. This has always been Mark's favorite, and we have some we need to use so a great way to take care of both. Mom and dad both have the flu now, which is no real surprise. It is hard to be in close proximity to a person with the flu and not catch it. Prayers for them are appreciated. I hope you connect with Ashland this weekend and may your weekend be filled with joy!
Blessings, Doug
Funeral Services for Norm Akers will be next Saturday, March 1 at Ashland

Today's Scripture

Romans 13:9-10
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Today's Thought

I love Paul's summation of the commandments. It can be boiled down to loving your neighbor as yourself. I beg you to pray over this, keep it at the top of your mind, and put it into practice. If you would not like something happening to you, make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. Just a thought for today!
