Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 13 Copy

Good Morning,

This morning feels more like spring than fall.  It was foggy, but the temperature was perfect to be out and about on the Parkway.  It is Red Friday at Ashland and we have a big game Sunday with the Denver.  We really need a win here.  Saturday is my dad's birthday and we will be off to KC to have lunch and celebrate with him.  I hope to hang Christmas light this afternoon.  Carol completely recreated the Big Wreath that has hung at 2602 Lover's Lane for decades.  It looks marvelous.  I hope you connect with Ashland Sunday as we continue planning to BE ALL IN in 2026.  Have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

I sent out a special message yesterday.  It is about helping kids afford sports opportunities.  I heard from several folks that they could not open the link.  I am including the link here. Copy and paste into your browser and scroll down to see how to help.

We have pictures from the 50+ outing to the Cronkite Museum available in the office if you would like a copy.

Today's Scripture

1 Peter 3:18 (New International Version)
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Today's Thought

Jesus died for the righteous and the unrighteous.   No matter what camp you believe yourself to be or what camp you think others might be in Jesus died for all.  The death of Jesus offered life to everyone.  We should welcome everyone and not try to put up our own standards as to who is in and who is out.   Just a thought for today!
