Pastor Doug's Thought for Today November 12

Good Morning,

We have reached midweek and MidWeek@Ashland is this evening.  It looks to be a beautiful day.  I was able to get my outdoor Christmas stuff ready to put up Friday if all goes well.  Carol is off to KC with a group touring Hospice Houses today.  We seem to always be on the go.  We made our miles on the Parkway this morning and I am making the Y a few times a week to work this knee into shape. I hope you have a great day and feel the blessings of God!

Blessings, Doug

We have pictures from the 50+ outing to the Cronkite Museum available in the office if you would like a copy.

Today's Scripture

Colossians 1:9 (New International Version)
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

Today's Thought

We are reminded today to pray for other followers of Christ.  Do we do that?  It is easy to pray for those we know and are close to, but what about those that follow Jesus we don't know?  This walk of faith is one of unity in Jesus.  We may not agree on a lot of stuff, but we should always agree on who Jesus is, what Jesus says, and strive to follow Him above all other things.  Just a thought for today!
