Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 29

Good Morning,
The drizzle continues and makes for a sleepy day.  Carol is driving home this morning, praying for a safe trip.  I know she will be exhausted for 24/7 grandma watch for 5 days.  MidWeek@Ashland is tonight, hope to see many of you out.  Friday night is Halloween and we will be handing out candy from 5:00 t0 7:00.  We will have a little carry in meal if you are interested.  This afternoon I meet with my surgeon and hope to have a run date in the future.  We will know more tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Romans 12:1 (New International Version)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Today's Thought

Paul is urging us to give our whole selves to Christ.  What does that look like?  It means we are always aware of our relationship to Him.  What we do and what we day, even what we think.  We can't do this alone, it takes literally giving ourselves over to Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit in our life.   Just a thought for today!
