Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 27

Good Morning,
We have a cool dizzily morning in St. Joeph. Carol is in COMO watching the girls.  She is having an experience for sure.  These girls and their dog are keeping her really busy.  So, I was on the Parkway alone this morning.  What a weekend!  I got some things done around home and watched Mizzou play.  Not what I had hoped for, but with all that happened they played well.  Chiefs play tonight, I am hoping for a better outcome.  I made it to the theater yesterday and it was something else.  Great singing and acting, but what a story.  I am proud of Shaun and Hunter and all our Ashland folks that made it a great show.  Halloween will be Friday evening an Ashland will be handing out candy from 5:00 to 7:00, we will have a carry in type meal if you want to join in.  I hope you enjoy today!

Blessings, Doug

Ken Gabler passed away, his funeral will be at Ashland Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 4:12 (New International Version)
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Today's Thought

We are into our Fall Discipleship Series at Ashland.  We are ALL IN in 2026.  This series is an outpouring of what the word of God says to us.  The active and alive word is our guide.  I hope you connect with Ashland during this time and allow the word of God to guide your heart as we explore following Jesus together.   Just a thought for today!
