Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 17

Good Morning,
We had an early morning this morning.  Carol was out the door at 5:00 for a benefit supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.  I took to the Parkway and got my miles in.  I have an 8:00 meeting so that worked out.  We have new countertops downstairs thanks to Rick and Kevin Akers hard work.  Pray for Tom and our kids, they are at Fall Retreat this weekend.  This is a busy weekend.  RRT has a big production and our own Shaun Agnew has the lead.  We have a host of Ashland folks involved.  The MWSU Hall of Fame dinner is tonight and that says nothing of football and of course some great worship on Sunday.  I hope you get out and enjoy the weekend!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 25:14-15 (New International Version)
The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Today's Thought

David uses the word fear, but for us to understand we need to translate what he intends to say.  He is saying that those who respect and honor God, those are who God makes covenant with.  This covenant is a hedge of presence and protection.  The Lord desires our honor and praise.  Just a thought for today!
