Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 16

Good Morning,
Guess what happened when the sun went down last night?  The Christmas Lights came on at Ashland!  We didn't get the lights unplugged after the guys hung them yesterday so of course they came on.  I have them unplugged and we will wait to officially light Ashland for Christmas.  The temperature makes it hard to think about Christmas, 80 degrees in mid-October is simply unnatural. I suppose we should enjoy the warmth because it will be freezing and snowing before we know it.  I hope you get out and enjoy the day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 19:14 (New International Version)
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Today's Thought

This is the prayer of my heart.  We should be aware of what we say because people will understand our words to reflect Jesus.  We should always think about that when we speak.  I also want to have my thoughts be pleasing to God.  Jesus said if we think it, it is as if we did it. Hmm.  Let that sink in.  May our being reflect who we are in Christ. Just a thought for today!
