Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 9

Good Morning,
I am writing this morning from Atlanta.  What a great opening night.  We heard from Dr. King, Martin Luther King Jr's daughter.  What a powerful message.  The weather here is cool and the hotel isn't in a walking friendly area, so I will get my steps in the hotel today.  This is a flying trip, but if I only had last night's message it was worth the trip.  I hope to get a little work squeezed in between sessions today.  I will be pumped for Sunday.  Enjoy the day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Deuteronomy 13:4 (New International Version)

It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

Today's Thought

Dr. King  last night talked about how we must put God at the center. We have substituted personal privilege or desire for the heart of God.  We must be willing to do as Jesus did.  We must embrace the very heart of love.  In fact it is only in love that we can find our way forward.  She reminded us that God can do anything!  Nothing is too big for God.  Its is time to stip wringing our hands and push forward loving as Jesus loved.    Just a thought for today!
