Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 8

Good Morning,
Carol and I got in our miles this morning before heading to KCI.  Tom and I are at KCI ready to depart for Atlanta.  Carol drove us to the airport and will pick us up on Friday.  This is a fully funded trip paid for by Fuller Seminary.  MidWeek@Ashland will take place as always with great food and time together.  I hope to be with you tomorrow from Atlanta.    Enjoy the day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Isaiah 43:11-12 (New International Version)
I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.

Today's Thought

What are our gods?  We hear today about God.  Isaiah is clarifying in a world where multiple gods are being lifted up that there is only one God.  I think we have some other gods that get worshipped that we don't name as gods, but treat as gods.  Isaiah would say to us remember that God is God and keep our minds focused.  What do you worship?  I hope it is always God.  Just a thought for today!
