Pastor Doug's Thought For Today October 7

Good Morning,
Last night was not what we had hoped for.  I am telling myself that I will not allow my mindset to be directed by football.  I love our team, but life goes on, this will be a good day.  Carol and I had cool walk this morning but didn't get wet.  It will be cool day today. Tom Keller and I fly to Atlanta tomorrow.  The trip is compliments of Fuller Seminary; We were chosen to be a part of a group project.  It is exciting to serve such a vibrant church.  We return on Friday and be pumped for worship Sunday!  I hope to post from Atlanta, but if something doesn't work you know where I am.    Enjoy the day!

Blessings, Doug

Today's Scripture

Psalm 63:1 (New International Version)
A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

Today's Thought

We may not be in an actual desert but go through times where we feel dry and worn out.  We have a spiritual or emotional desert time.  We are reminded to in those times especially to seek God and God will renew us.  God will quinch our thirst and renew us.  Just a thought for today!
