Pastor Doug's Thought For Today 9/5

Good Morning,
We attended the Pivotal Point Gala last night.  It was very well done; in fact the nicest Pivotal Point has offered since I have been in St. Joseph.  The NFL kicked last night and the Eagles prevailed.  Carol and I got 4 miles this morning and she continued to get her 10-mile training run in for the St. Joseph Marathon.  What a trooper!   Our Chiefs play tonight, and I am so ready for them to play ball.  I was at McDonalds this morning and picked up this year's Chiefs Flag.  Tomorrow we are off to Como for the Boarder War, may my Tigers prevail.    I hope you have a great day!

Blessings, Doug

I have a couple of extra tickets for Ignite Saturday night.  The fun begins at 5:30 on the rooftop of the Downtown Parking Garage.  Contact me if you are interested.

Today's Scripture

Matthew 28:18-20 (New International Version)
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Today's Thought

The instruction is simple.  Go and make disciples.  How do we do that?  We live into the life as disciples doing as Jesus!  Just a thought for today!
