Ashland Bike Club
The Ashland Bike Club is a socially-focused group for bike enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Meeting during the Spring through Fall months, the Ashland Bike Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month for a leisurely ride utilizing the paved trails in our community. The rides last around an hour beginning at 6 pm and often include a stop at a local eatery for food fellowship. Though they often meet in the church parking lot, on occasion they will meet at other trails further away from the church including the Remington River Walk area and all along the parkway. If you are interested in connecting with the Ashland Bike Club, contact Tom Keller.
Adult 50+ Ministry
The Adult 50+ ministry is an opportunity for the more experienced and often retired members of Ashland to maintain social and fellowship connections. The ministry provides opportunities monthly through the year through outings, both local and in the Kansas City area, as well as events at the church. Some of the opportunities including touring the downtown Sculpture Walk, trivia and presentation events, and outings to Kansas City museums. There are small costs associated with any location entrance fees (museums, for example) and trips often include stops for lunch. If you are interested in connecting with an Adult 50+ event in the future, there are sign-ups at the church prior to each event. You can also contact the church office to be in touch with an upcoming event’s organizer.
MidWeek at Ashland
Though MidWeek @ Ashland is primarily focused on activities for kids and youth, there are opportunities for adults to connect on Wednesday nights. In addition to a meal at 5 pm, there are ad hoc adult groups which meet on Wednesday evenings at the church including a women’s knitting group and others. Fellowship groups often form on their own out of a desire of a shared common interest. If you often bring kids to MidWeek and are interested in finding or starting a fellowship group, contact Pastor Doug and we will get you connected!
