Ashland's Bell Choir, the Bell Tones, provides music monthly at the traditional worship services as well as playing for other special choral anthems which require handbells. The Bell Tones also host two handbell concerts for area nursing homes, one in the springtime and the other at Christmas, as well as playing for weddings and special events. The music staff is always looking for an opportunity to start an additional choir for beginning and intermediate ringers if and when the need arises, as well as creating a children's handbell choir.

Using songs from such artists as Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, Newboys, and Paul Baloche, the band aims to bring an energetic worship experience to congregation members. Our musical style encourages individual participation and involvement from congregants. The praise band consists of three main components: the instrumentalists, the lead vocal singers, and the praise choir. If you are interested in joining any of these groups, contact Shaun Agnew, the Director of Music, or Adrian Gray, the Director of Youth Ministries and worship leader for praise team, for more information.

Ashland provides an opportunity for gifted soloists and ensembles to participate and lead in worship weekly, as well as special events and occasions as needed. Several of our musicians have been or are currently active soloists with the St. Joseph Symphony, St. Joseph Community Chorus, and have been featured on American Guild of Organists concerts. In addition, we provide an opportunity for instrumentalists to particpate in worship through special ensembles throughout the year and featured soloists for bell and choir selections.
